“Every generation thinks they will see the end of the world, but no prophesy, prediction, or conviction has ever been accurate. Perhaps this is our way of coping with terror and uncertainty. To convince ourselves that it can’t get any worse. This has to be the end.”
The End is Near, a risograph zine, sarcastically catalogs 10 of the most recently predicted apocalypses, counting down to the present moment. It begins in 1666, when a town in London thought the world was being engulfed in flames, travels through 2012, the Mayan apocalypse, and ends with an explosion of reasons why I think this could be the end (totally kidding, I think).
